First United Methodist Church of Scotch Plains provides religious education, instruction, and discussion for all age levels.

Youth Group

Joint Youth Group Meetings – 2023: We will be collaborating youth meetings with neighborhood church youth groups this year (New Dover UMC, Cranford UMC, Centenary UMC, and Wesley UMC).  We will gather together to have fun and fellowship every 3rd Saturday (October 21, November 18, and December 16). The first meeting will be held at Cranford UMC.

Adult Bible Study

Currently an 8-week study with classes meeting every Wednesday evening (at the church) at 7:00pm. Each session will run approximately 1 hour and all are invited. And don’t worry if you can’t make all the sessions, just attend whenever you can – you will be blessed by the experience.

Music

We encourage you to join our church’s wonderful music ministries! No experience necessary! Click here for more. 

Bell Choir
The Bell Choir, under the guidance of Ms. Alice Bennet, performs on holidays and other special services. This choir is open to interested adults and children over the age of 10.

Musicians
We seek instrumentalists to participate in our Sunday Worship services.  Join us for traditional and contemporary music.
